What we keep about you, why, for how long, and how to take it with you or delete it.

Usage analytics
On by default. We count page views and a few actions (test started and finished, signup, career saved, job applied) to see what helps people. Session recordings show how pages are used, with everything you type hidden. No ads, no selling data, no tracking across other sites, and no cookies from the analytics itself.

Delete my account
Deletes your account and everything in it right away: test answers, results, saved items, coach chats and job matches. It cannot be undone.

Without an account, your answers belong to this browser only. To have them removed, email [email protected].

What we collect and why

  • Account: your name and email (and your Google profile photo if you sign in with Google), to keep your results and let you sign in on any device.
  • Test answers and profile: your answers, grades and scores you enter, your locations, and your personality test, to match careers, fields of study, colleges and jobs to you.
  • Work, education and resume text: only if you add them, to improve your matches. We keep the text of a resume, never the file.
  • Results and saved items: your career matches, fields of study, colleges, programs, jobs and what you save, so they are there when you come back.
  • AI Career Coach chats: your messages and the answers, so you can continue a conversation.
  • AI usage: what we sent to our AI providers for you and what came back, with the cost, to keep the service safe and affordable.
  • Usage analytics: page views, the actions above and session recordings, linked to a random ID and never to your name or email, unless you turn it off. What you type, your GPA, test scores, family income, resume and coach conversations are hidden in recordings.
  • Problem reports: what you write and the screenshot you attach when you report a problem.

How long we keep it

  • Your account and everything in it: until you delete your account. Deleting removes it right away.
  • Older results: when you sign in with new results to an account that already had results, the older answers and careers are kept in an archive for 30 days (so a mistake can be undone) and then deleted automatically.
  • Usage analytics: kept by our analytics provider as anonymous totals for a limited time.
  • Without an account: your answers stay with this browser's guest session until you clear it or ask us to remove them.
